I used to cringe at installing or even updating HP drivers and software, but over the last 3-4 years installing, as well as updating their software has been truly seemless. I've owned a HP Officejet Pro 8620 for about 2 years now. HP has come along way with their products and the software that runs them. I’m a kid who is thankful for HP for making my life easier at school. I’m not a person who is paid to write reviews. Now stop giving the software engineers a difficult time at HP. Only rating it 5 stars because because there wasn’t any option to rate it 100 stars. I would loooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee this app. I see many short reviews that look as if they were written by people from companies that are rivals of HP. If it doesn’t work for you, then at least tell them why. And submitting them is waaaaaaaaaay too ezy when I scan them. I don’t have to MAKE my assignments and complete them for school, I can just easily print them. What is with the hate? How is printing/scanning this easy? My dad used a Brother printer when he went to work which used ink and he reportedly said it waaaaaaaay too hard, but then his boss ordered HP ink printers and he said they were ezy to use. Scanning is ezy(good job reforming after HP Easy Scan, which has an overall rating of 2 stars). I used this when I first got my first printer, an HP DeskJet 2732. Just be aware of this if you purchase this model and this is something you're specifically looking for.Īside from this I've had no issues so far and have found the printer to be very useful for home usage and I'm glad I made the investment in purchasing it. There are some documents I would prefer to use less paper for by printing double-sided, but in the end I haven't found this to be a big enough issue to consider it worth removing a rating star for. The only issue I've come across is that I don't believe it supports double-sided printing, which is something I hadn't thought of looking into prior to purchasing it. So far I haven't had any issues with it, the set up was very easy and fast, I downloaded the HP app onto my Mac laptop and use this for settings, options, etc. I'm going to see how much printing I actually do over the few months to consider whether the program would be cheaper than purchasing my ink on an as-needed basis. I haven't decided yet yet if I'll continue the program and pay the monthly fee yet. Following this time period if the program is not cancelled it costs I believe $3.99 per month. I purchased this printer about a month ago and I also signed up for the program to receive free ink for a few months. Certain features are only available in English. Note: Some HP Smart features require a network connection and an HP account for full functionality.
